2008 G35S sedan wheels on 2011 G37S sedan?

Hi-

I have a 2008 G35S sedan and am looking to replace it with a 2011 G37S sedan. They both have 18" wheels and I noticed the tire size is the exact same for both models (P225/50 R18 front, P245/45 R18 rear). I'm just unsure of the offset or any other specifics I'm not thinking of. The G37S sedan has different (larger?) front calipers but there is a lot of space between my G35S calipers and the wheel. You can even tell in the below pictures.

So does anyone know if the 2008 wheels will fit on the 2011? I'm just not a fan of these particular G37 wheels.

thanks!

About time you finally posted
Welcome
Sorry but those wheels won't clear in front, those Akebono calipers are huge.
Here's a couple templates that you can use to see how much spacing you'll need. You should be able to get enough room w/ a wheel spacer but not sure if you'd need a spacer that's too wide for a good look

Well that's a bummer. Those templates are awesome, very useful, thanks. It's funny though, the more I look at the two pictures I posted, the more the G37 wheels are growing on me. Plus there are lots of aftermarket options of course.

And haha, thanks! I think I registered a long time ago when I was considering buying a G35 but it never actually happened. Not sure how I managed to register on myg37.com when the G37 didn't exist in Sept 2009 though. Maybe this was originally a G35 site?

Anyway, I ended up getting the G35-S sedan not quite a year ago as I needed a better daily driver (also have an S2000 and Integra Type-R) and absolutely fell in love with it. The comfort and torque is addicting. I hate to say it as a life long Honda-boy, but I drive the G more than anything else now. I'm just regretting not spending a little more to get the G37-S or at least searching a little longer until I could find a MT that also had navi/backup-cam, so now I am considering a 2011 G37-S I found for sale.
