Creaking/Rubbing noise
Hey guys, just recently i've had this awful noise coming from the front left side of my 2012 G37xS Sedan. I've searched up on this noise and it looks like the sway bar/endlink has something to do with it. I couldn't find much about the stock sways, so I was wondering if you guys could help me figure out what this noise is and possibly figure out a way to fix it.
The car has very low milage, its only at 14,000kms and it has been lowered on swift sport springs for about 7000kms. I recently put on my new wheels, and a day after the noise got really bad, so I'm not sure if the wheels had anything to do with it, or if it was a coincidence. I've taken a few videos of the sound, in the first one I'm going 15-20km/h and it sounds like more of a rubbing noise, kind of like a tin can dragging under the car The second video is me backing into my garage, when I slow the car down it sounds more like a creaking noise Please let me know if you guys have any insight on this issue, I'm thinking it is the sway bar needed lubrication, or possibly an end link that has been broken. Just trying to get a second opinion before I lift up the car to take a look. Thanks! |
Anyone? :dunno:

Shoot a Private Message to TVPostSound he's the suspension guru around these parts :)

Thank you sir! I will send him a pm!

Let me know if that guy responds to your PM! Yours sounds different than mine, but I have a creaking noise that comes from my front right wheel well area. It's normally okay when I first start driving, but after being on the road for a while, it'll start to creak when I hit any bumpy roads or as I come to a stop. I think it happens more often when it's hot outside too. I'll try to upload some videos later.

I had a shop look at it today, when they lifted it up they said my suspension seemed fine, the sway bar and end links seems alright. They think it is my wheel bearing, which is really odd seeing as there is barely any mileage on the car. I'm having the dealership look at it tomorrow, I'm hoping they don't void the warranty due to the car being lowered.

Had the dealer take a look at this problem, turns out there was a rock caught up somewhere in the rotor which was responsible for the noise I was hearing. If anyone has a similar issue it might be worth it to make sure it isn't something as little as a rock!
