marble/rattle noise... help! strut mounts?
2008 G37S Coupe
replaced struts and shocks about a month ago with Tokico. Car is not lowered... weird rattle under 30mph driving me nuts... car repair places says struts and strut mounts are perfect...makes no noises when car hits bumps. Every panel under the car is good, tires have been balanced ...I am totally stumped.
coming from Driver side front...
mods:
cusco strut tower brace (all bolts are tight and strut bolts as well)
Stillen Swaybars (using stock bushings...should I replace? energy suspension?)
Tokico struts and shocks (no leaking or noises when car is pushed up and down rides stiffer than stock but nice)
I would assume if it were the strut mounts it would be a more constant noise? specially when pressing car up and down?? car has about 43k
Thanks for the help!!

It was one thing after another.
Had issues with the strut mount/tophat, then the strut itself going bad, possibly an endlink going bad as well, then the control arm, also a combination of possibly not tightening bolts enough.
That's the gist of it, i did approach it a piece at a time. Ultimately replaced the strut (even new ones can go bad, especially if the shop ran an impact continuously on that top bolt without holding the piston properly) and end links, and double-checked all bolts were torqued to spec.
