Experience with sub frame braces on G37

Does anyone have experience with sub frame braces. I am thinking of adding some to my car. I have Hotchkis sways and stock springs. The car handles well as is, I am wondering if the sub frame braces will add anything to my handling?

Don't have them (yet) but rear lower tie and the 6pt are the best to add I believe

rear lower is pretty cheap, 6pt may be overkill for u

Have a bunch of them. Details in My Garage. No impact to normal driving, but definitly feel difference on the corners.

I would not add them until you decide if you are going to go lower than stock.

why would lowering have an impact on sub-frame braces?

Someone did a great write up on the GT Spec frame braces that explaines what each brace does but I am too lazy or dont care enough to look for it.

I would like to know as well. I'm contemplating canceling my order for the Tanabe Sustecs and just leaving my 6mt Sedan at stock height. It's not thaaaat bad, and I don't want the ride to get any harsher and have to buy a front and rear camber kit just to get it to align correctly. I might add all the braces instead.

sway bars are hands down the best handling mod you can do for your g. lowering and braces help as well but not as much.

if you get the 6pt brace, it will sit lower, so if you lower your car it will have more of a chance to scrape...thats teh only disadvantage, but i have stillen sways, tanabe coilovers, gt spec fstb, front tie bars and rear lower tie brace and my car is like a love mobile...well it is great around turns thats for sure...the gtspec braces made a nice improvement in handling...

I have stock suspension and have the six point, four point and the two braces up front....I can definately feel a difference in cornering. Well worth it in my opinion.

How many of these braces do I need? I looked at all of them that HamstersG has and its 1,000.00 plus shipping to purchase all but the fender braces.

Mark from GTSpec made this post to describe the ranked order of the braces.

https://www.myg37.com/forums/2490200-post45.html

I don't have the rear M-shape brace. It will not work on some aftermarket exhausts so did not want to put it on just in case. Also, it was not available anywhere when I got my other braces.....

Let me try and explain my point a little better.....lowering on progressive springs and/or sways have the largest impact from my experience on the G and several other cars before it for the $. My point about not adding all the braces before deciding if the OP was going to lower was more of cost vs. benefit statement.

If the OP just wants a real comfortable ride and is happy with the stock height/suspension with the sways, I am not sure he is going to be happy spending a $1K on braces for the marginal difference on the corners.

Not knocking the braces....
