i have no clue what is that. it rubs your tires? sounds bad..

symalik 04-17-2008 01:00 AM

Haha that actually had me worried so I just checked. I have the same thing, no idea what its for but its about 2-3 inches away from my wheels (20x10.5 +36 rears) and that would never touch it. Took a picture but phone is being stupid so can't upload it.

I noticed that when they put my car on the lift to install the HFCs. I forgot about it until you posted these pics.

symalik 04-17-2008 02:08 AM

here is a picture of how far it is from my wheels.

blah I need wider tires next time, 275's just don't cut it on a 10.5 wheel, 295's or 305's next time :D

IP37 04-17-2008 07:41 AM

look under the car, there are all sorts of brackets back there not being used

I wanna know what everyone was talkin about grinding down... Sharif...Solo? I think both of you all know or have done it.... What was it?

Kidcane 04-17-2008 09:11 AM

No you wont come close to that piece. I had to grind the tab that is on the inside of the fender that holds the fender to the bumper. If that makes sense.

MaxToTheG37 04-17-2008 09:14 AM

if you can snap a pic... that would be great!! thanks bro!

Kidcane 04-17-2008 09:16 AM

Prolly not cause I would have to take my wheel back off and I dont plan on doing that until my new sensors come in. If you can wait a week or so but I dont think you can.

MaxToTheG37 04-17-2008 09:23 AM

maybe someone will snap and pic of where its and and you can explain it then... dont take you wheel off just to take a pic tho... its not that big of a deal... Ill find out sooner or later somehow...

Kidcane 04-17-2008 09:27 AM

Just reach up inside the wheel well near the top but then a little back where the bumper and fender meet. There is a tab and a screw or bolt in it that hold the 2 sections together. You can't miss it if you run your hand around the edge of the inside of the well.

MaxToTheG37 04-17-2008 09:33 AM

I know what you mean now....and you grinded the head of the bolt down?

IP37 04-17-2008 09:59 AM

look where the fender / bumper meet..

where the bolt is, there is both fender and bumper. but in front of the bolt, towards the wheel, it's just fender. that's what i took off
