I'm fairly new to my G37, its currently completely OEM, but I want to start putting some work into it. I found a post on OfferUp for H&R SEDAN lowering springs on OEM struts, and wanted to know what would happen, if even possible, if I installed them on my 2011 convertible. I know there is about a 300-400 pound difference, so it would lower more, but would there be any issues from doing this? Would they even fit? Trying to learn and do my research before making any investments

IIRC the rear vert shock mounts different vs. sedan mounts ( I know the rear control arms are completely different), and the H&Rs are slammed vs. other makes. I would only install springs rated for use on your vert shocks as these will have spring rates designed for the weight difference and won't have to worry about any install issues since you will be using your vert OEM shocks..

For one, it'll be TOO LOW!

Sedan springs on a 'vert, they'll be too weak.

Don't be cheap. Get springs for the 'vert! Or get BC Racing coilovers! Wasn't that hard to install if you got tools and some patience.
