Need help with my new brakes.
 

So recently I changed my brakes with Akebono ceramic brake pads and Centric Rotors. The brakes feel slow with the response and I don't feel like they are quick to stop the car. What are some suggestions to fix this problem? TIA

Did you bed the pads according to the manufacturer?
Did you replace the hardware (springs and pins)?
Are you sure the springs are actually on the edge of the pads (and did not fall to the inside of the pad)?
Did you grease all the appropriate places?

what were your old pads? the new ones may be less aggressive.

Also try bleeding the brakes if you haven't.

I had stock oem brakes before and they weren’t ceramic before. And I’ll try bleeding the brake and putting in new brake fluid. Thank You

Ceramic pads typically are more of a moderate street pad that won't dust, last a long time, cost less, and stay quiet. For many this is a good choice, if you want a better performing pad you'll get more dusting, shorter pad life, can get noisy, and cost more.

FWIW Ceramic pads don't typically require bedding, it's not a bad idea but check w/ the specific pad model/manufacturer regarding that.

So the choice is yours :)
