19 inch rims ... Are Tanabe NF210. Good springs?
They claim to almost keep stock comfort, any experience? Will they perform well and look good with 19s? Here is the link,

They are the mildest drop springs and do have softer spring rates, they tend to drop the rear lower than the front so the overall drop can look a bit off. Also Tanabe uses the same spring for ALL Infiniti G applications (except verts) so they aren't engineered for each specific G model (which IMO isn't a good thing). If you have a RWD I would consider Tein Basis Z coilovers, they only cost a couple hundred more than springs and you can set to the exact height you want. These also have softer spring rates and you'll be getting dampers with zero miles on them rather than using on older shocks that aren't engineered for lowering springs.

Nice! I will look into them!

I was all set to buy though Tien street basis for $470 when I noticed it said rwd coup. I emailed store and they said coup only and all sites say this. People say I need to get Tien flex which are almost $800! Is this the case?
|
Nm I found for sedan... still almost $200 more ugh. Not $800 tho.
|
Just realize you get what you pay for.
|
My expectations is that they will be better than lowering springs and adjustable. I won't be hitting Daytona lol
|
Sedan & coupe Tein Basis are the same part # and should be able to get them for that $470. All the sedan guys have used them without issue.

I ordered mine from here and they gave good customer service, fast shipped for $444

Tein basis are made in teins China factory now so that plays a role but still I wonder lol.
|
Didn't know that, hopefully they still maintain Japanese quality w/ the finished products.
Do you know how long they've been making them there? Also Tanabe seems to keep their pricing very low vs. comparable Japanese parts, wonder if they have a similar setup? |
Tein USA has a blog they post good info on. I haven't kept up but will read more when I can but here their info about the new tein China plant this was back in 2014
http://teinusa-blog.com/tein-has-two-manufacturing-plants/ I'm still a tein believer their products have never failed me |
