I would go ahead and get one for the flexibility. They are cheap and easy to install. You will most likely need to cut like an inch off to get them to fit the bottom of the spring, as well as zip ties to secure them. Here's the one I got:

Been having some vagueness at the front that I was scared was the shocks going, but it looks like my alignment shifted. Hopefully that buttons it all up. I think the shocks are still solid for anyone wondering about longevity. PRobably 15-18K miles on them.

4DRZ does all the time Plus it's just a one time thing. There's a long list of stuff more important at the track anyway like cooling, brakes, etc.

u already dont like the coilovers for spirited street driving. so i cant see u liking it on the track either even though they werent really made for that kind of driving . are u low? u gonna raise it up. that would help

There were some other issues that made it feel worse which I took care of. I went back to the stock arms from the SPCs, and I evened out the drop by raising the left side about 1/4". This all happened yesterday. Car feels a lot better now. Still wouldn't pick these for a pure track car but they're better than stock. And in any case true track coilovers would warrant some stiffening up of the chassis. IT's a one time thing, these should be fine.

Why did you exactly go back to the stock arms versus the SPCs? Do I need the SPCs if I plan to drop it around 26.5-26.75"?

Are you running any spacers with the stock OEM sport wheels? I'm about to get these coils and Roch suggested 15mm spacers all around. Was just wondering if you got them. I also plan to only get the rear SPC / SPL Camber kit and not the front, hopefully it works out.

An update- I crashed at that track day But it was not due to the coilovers. My brake fluid boiled and the stability control died. Not good at a NASCAR track with walls.
As for how the coilovers did, at the track I found them to be very soft, which did and didn't surprise me. They feel firm on the street, but for really controlling big body motions and high energy the rates are just too low. I'd also say for track duty to definitely go with a staggered setup. If I had 275s-285s out back I might not have lost the rear and spun. But I was overdriving anyway.
I still recommend these though. Tein really judged them well for street duty, though I still think jumping to Flex Zs might be worth it if you are considering hitting the track at all. They always just felt a hair soft.

I crashed in May, the car is gone. Driving a Kia Optima now, saving my pennies for an Accord Hybrid and maybe an 8th gen Civic track car. I'm OK which is all that matters.
