Appreciate all the updates! Sucks this is happening. At least it's the rears and not the fronts. If you have any mechanical ability whatsoever swapping the taller dampers for what you have will be cake.

Stance doesn't even list the XR1 to be compatible with the G37X anyways:
Stance XR1 Application List
This is definitely making me rethink my decision about going with Stance coils over Fortune Auto. Please keep us updated and let me know how the rear dampers are. I always thought the rear suspension was the same exact thing between AWD/RWD.

wow. Sorry to hear about your ordeal Coltrane....I wonder if the confusion comes from the fact that there are two different G35x sedan chassis from which the supplier could have reworked the parts. One has identical suspension to the G37 and is on the same chassis as the g37(the V36 chassis) and the other is completely different (the V35 chassis)....I see parts mislabeled b/c of this all over the place. One time I was even sold a pair of endlinks from a very "reputable" local supplier who apparently didn't know the difference, but insisted they were correct parts for my V36 G35x....
further complicating the labeling of parts for suppliers who think they can market parts for broader applications and make more $$ (Which sometime works fine) is that both chassis were used for the G35 in 2007 lol (v35 for the coupe and v36 for the sedan)....
anyways good luck i hope someone *cough* your supplier, does the right thing

So good to their word, today I received an overnighted set of XR1 replacement dampers apparently created by Stance for a G37x sedan.
Their length appear as if one will have an appropriate amount of height adjustment while still maintaining a safe amount of damper seated into the lower bracket.
Kudo's to Stance for following through with their assistance to partially set this transaction right. I'm in standby mode waiting to hear what Stance can or will do with the supplier to either reimburse me to the degree that I can have these newly acquired "G37x dampers" installed.

On another note, while doing some research today -
I've discovered that the individual who I'd been speaking to several times, after my incorrect "g35x" c/o's had been shipped and later installed, who more than once later insisted they must have been installed incorrectly, and were without a doubt a proper application fit for a G37x sedan - Is the secretary of the company.

Sure hoping this has a happy ending, looks like you'll at least get the G sitting like you wanted from the start, hopefully more help with the install $$$ will get you back to a happier place. Nice to hear they shipped that longer damper ASAP, so that's a big step in the right direction.

I'm new here, and not a pot stirrer. But there's a point when one has to stand up for truth telling - Or not.

update - Today I had a long conversation with the supplier. Shortly afterwards the supplier and Stance made a decision to share the expense of a $300 refund of my original install fees.
I agreed to absorb new alignment fees after a reassembly of the rears and corrected dampers are installed.
I applaud both Stance and the supplier for making an effort to reconcile what was an obvious mistake on my shipment.
