Looks good! How do you like the mods?

Besides paying the bill. I am very happy. The car's response with the new sway bars(hotchkis) is much better. I just need, CAI, HFC and coilovers or springs n shocks and I'm all set.

Awesome BBK
Those look great back there, need some wheels w/ more space in the spokes to really show them off (they deserve it).
Since you have the sways installed you might look at the Tein Basis coilovers, very affordable and when combined w/ sways should be a well rounded setup.
A better option than springs IMO, and you get the exact height you want.
Several on site vendors carry them and the prices are under $650.

Keep up the nice work!

For coils, I am looking at fortune auto 500s or KWs.
Definitely need rims, Vossens , in spring.

ScrewstonNismo 09-08-2015 09:58 PM

Keep in mind Vossen's can be decently heavy. Unless you buy their Vossen Precision Series, they're cast wheels.

Congrats on the new mods, glad you're enjoying them :D

Ok, maybe I will check out the vps 306, or different brand thats similar.

You had a "Sport" and upgraded those brakes? You running AutoX or what? Donate your old brakes! Also +1 on Blnewt's advice. I LOVE my Basis. Could not imagine paying twice more for a setup. Don't forget the Camber kit also.

I can vouch for the Tein Street Basis coilovers. Excellent daily driver coils with track potential.

And btw, those huge red calipers look awesome. Your plans for your car make me jealous haha, keep us posted!

No autoX, I forgot to save the stock parts, normallyi save old parts for years. Few months ago i trashed my OEM airbox for my 09 max. I will definitely get the SPL camber kit.

I look into those coils, just want something that will last through the winter times, I don't feel like swapping from stock to coil.

Thanks on the big red calipers.

Ditto. I can also vouch for Tein Basis. Rears, at least. :hsugh:

Not digging the bright red calipers, OP. Sorry. I'm sure it will look better when you ditch the duckfeet. And ScrewstonNismo is right, Vossens aren't lightweight rims, although their 19's are reasonable. And if you offset that with lightweight tires, the numbers are a wash.

Great start on modding your car, and impressive looking brakes.

I had stoptechs on my 350z and boy did I love them. I see you have an X which means no sport brakes originally so I can see why you spent the money.

As for wheels, ditch the 20's want and go for some lightweight 19's to compliment those brakes.

2012G37 09-09-2015 02:07 PM

Thanks,
I'm looking at 19s only.

Actually, I may want 18s, as my spare doesn't fit, so I don't feeling buying 5 19s. but i think the perfect 18s with 5 star, may be hard to find.

Have fun with this thread:

And their website. I spent weeks and many late nights just browsing that thread and their site before I made a decision. Good luck!

Thanks, definitely looking through that, I should be able to find something before spring
