The patterns purely for aesthetics or are there performance benefits? Any discount codes you can share? ;)

^ slotting dissipates heat, helps avoid glazing, and adds bite...**
drilling/dimpling do nothing but look good with new-age pads, as they no longer create the gasses they were once used to help disperse.**
thus, we've focused most of our exclusive patterns around slotting (our double slotting specifically, which we're known for, was designed & tested in many track & endurance race scenarios) to not only keep your brakes cooler when put to the test, but look good with unique, customizable ways of implementing them on factory spec rotors.*

with that said, for a daily driven street car, it*really*makes no difference when the car isn’t seeing hot brakes &*aggressive stopping.
in this case I always say to pick your favorite;*after all, our concept is to have the customer choosing what they like for they’re own custom rotor.

this and much more can be found on our info/FAQ page, which we urge you to have a look at: Server Error

and no...we only have one sale a year for black friday.
but email us directly, we're known to make a deal.

Pattern #18 BLANK :):):)

adamsrotors Jun 8, 2015 05:03 PM

^ no point, no benefit, no additional cost or savings.
we're a machined rotor company...that in itself is the core concept of our very business.
if patterns are not your thing, you should opt for a simple slotted only...the benefits far outweigh anything a blank rotor can offer, I assure you.

Bad experience with slotted rotors, "humming" noise. 3 different brands, same problem.

^ that's your pads.
our slotting is silent...infact, it's the only variation that doesn't create sound.

as posted in our FAQ's:

"do machined rotors create sound?"

keyword can...but it's just the dimpling/drilling. there is no reason the sound should be anything but mild...pleasant even. each application varies as rotor diameter/surface area changes, caliper size & pad contact differs, as do the compounds used in each brake pad. a bad bed, cheap pads, or an improper caliper/pad seating after install could cause something loud. drilling and more so dimpling is the culprit for anything other than a silent experience. air being trapped within the rotor's machining and two pad surfaces creates this, but again is nominal. slotting is the ideal for performance and the faint of ear, so if you are concerned, opt for any of our 4 slotted only patterns. the bedding process which should be completed immediately after install can drastically effect stopping power and the amount of sound; it's also an important part of prepping your new rotors. high speed tap braking and full 0-30 pulls to slam to stop, is key...(see break-in info above)

Yes Sir, very sensitive for "humming" brake noise :icon17::icon17::icon17:

^ it wasn't meant to be sarcastic. it sounds like a combination of things, but mainly, your ear.
we've been in the automotive parts industry for well over 10 years and selling rotors for over 9...
I've never had a single complaint for our classic slotted only...using our pads. sir.

It's all good and thank You for all information. BTW all "humming" experiences I have with slotted rotors are NOT from Adamsrotors.
