Popping sound when turning left... any help.
i tried to do a search for other threads about this but found nothing.
When turning left there is a popping/clunking sound coming from the passenger front tire. From a stopped position moving into a turn the sound is there. The car also judders from that same area. it sounds and feels terrible. I will be taking the ride to a shop tomorrow. Just trying to see if anyone had input on this.
i did look under the car and didnt see anything stand out from normal.

any update? I got the same thing going on...makes me feel like I'm going to break something. FYI...this car sucks on ice with summer tires, been stuck multiple times today. Memphis unexpected snow...no chance for all-season or winter tires. And it's such a damn rattle box on rough ice.

Every car sucks on ice on summer tires. That's why they're not supposed to be used in cold temps, even if there's no ice. I have some of the best performance tires around, Michelin Pilot Super Sport. Below about 40 degrees they're not good, even without ice. Sucks you got caught out like that. I've driven mine in very cold temps twice with summer tires but no ice. Be careful.
So, I guess I’m trying to say…I get at most 4 months of sub-40 degree weather each year, and that 4 month period has plenty of 50 degree days. Do you think summer tires year-round is a bad idea?
When you say they don’t work well sub 40 degrees…do you mean they lose their performance advantage over all-season, or that they simply don’t work for squat? Would you consider it dangerous to drive in 20 degree DRY weather with summer tires?

so finally got back from a trip from Texas. drove the saab not the infiniti. Well took the car to the shop and on drive out of my driveway i have to make a left turn. weird enough the was no sound that occured, either way took the car to the shop and from them looking at it they saw nothing that would cause it and reported no noise on the test drive. Been driving the car and still have not been able hear or replicate the sound. Even made a full extent turn to the left from standing still to slow speeds. nothing. the bitter cold we were having could possibly of had an effect but i just dont think so. weird i would say. if anything arises again i can update this but ill be driving with caution still for the next few days. thanks to all who had input and suggestions, i appreciate it peoples.
