I'm getting my Hotchkis sways and my new rotors and pads today!

Well after reading so many posts on here I am finally bit by the bug. I am waiting for UPS and Fed Ex to drop off my new mods today. I really don't want to get anything too radical just some simple upgrades. My brakes have always had judder at high speed and I hear the sways are the best bang for you buck upgrade. For the Brakes I stayed simple and got high carbon Centric rotors all around and Centric Stop Tech Street Performance pads. No slots or holes. I am hoping they cure the judder I have had from day one when applying the brakes above 60 mph. I don't hate the stock brakes really except for the judder which the dealer can't seem to cure. I will report back after install. The forum and members were instrumental in helping me choose what to get so I thank you all.

Should be a nice upgrade. Be sure to bed the pads as per Stoptechs site~

Well I got the brake pads and rotors put on Friday. I bedded them in good. Before bedding they were rubbing the rotors a little with no brake pressure. Now they are silent. They had good bite ..better than stock before bedding and even better bite after. I no longer have brake judder or any shake at all at speeds up to 130mph. I have to say at this early stage I am thoroughly impressed with this set up. They stop much better than stock set up and are very linear and easy to control. They are everything I wanted. It's so strange for something to actually work out:) I guess research pays off. I have yet to see the dusting people speak of but don't care if they do. Brakes that work this good are worth it. I am getting my sways installed on Monday. Oh just a note...I liked the stock brake performance minus the judder I didn't think the stock brakes were that bad however these are awesome.

Looks like a great setup. Let me know how you like the ceramic pads. They should last longer and have no dust.

Thought you'd be happy, although the Stoptechs are on the dusty side the bite is well worth it.

Got the sways put on yesterday. I went with full stiff up front and middle hole on the rear as most suggest. Haven't completely shaken it down yet but I can't see a downside so far. Much better steering response and the car is super flat. It feels great to me.

I had an issue during the install and uncovered yet another issue with my Certified Pre Owned inspection. The previous owner had very poorly modified the rear portion of the exhaust there are a lot of bits and pieces of pipe welded in after the Y pipe almost like the resonators were deleted then added back in by a hack. The pipes rubbed on the new bar and had to be heated with a torch and bent out of the way costing me a few extra dollars. Seems like I need to get a top speed exhaust on there next:) In any case my point is don't trust the dealers CPO inspection mine was quite lacking. I am also missing the plastic covers in the rear and I am wondering if that is the wind noise I hear at high speed?

CPO is an industry scam. Thought that was common knowledge.
