Got the Wife's Permission... Air???

I did good for V-day yesterday so I got the wife's permission to put the coupe on Air if I want. Now... Do I want it? Here in nashville there are speedbumps everywhere and the roads arent the best... I was going to go coils but I bottom out with my Eibachs already. What are your guys opinions on bagging our cars? I want to make sure I dont lose too much of the performance of the current set up but I want it lower. I want to go back to Scottsdale with their long FLAT roads!

i went accuair kit with UAS bag over my stance coils , don't really drive my car that much but in vegas its a big help .. i love mine . i cannot speak on performance aspect bc I'm running aggressive wheels

Do I need to get coils then too...

I'd do air if I was running some straight up show stuff, however it's a daily car for me and I couldn't think of getting rid of my subs..

I know how I can get installed and keep my W6. I am also going to throw an air horn in the car too. Just for fun

If u already bottom out with Eibachs, why would you bother with coils or bags? After scraping up your car, you're just going to set it to the ride height of ur Eibachs, so why waste the money?

So I can raise it if I need and lower when I want

exactly this is the reason I would want air. Oh a speed bump? Steep driveway? Let me just raise the car a few inches. Then set it back down to where it looks good!

Go with air. I'm running Accuair Elevel on Airrex struts on my G and couldn't be any happier.

U will not lose any performance!! I have the Full AirRex system on my G sedan! roads here in Hawaii are terrible!! It's like driving on the surface of a pot Holed Moon! lol....But I had Eibach's..then went to coils..then I'm with bags! best choice I made yet! I still have the performace of coils! it handles like it's on rails still... and I have full sways at GT-Spec braces.....and can raise it up for driveways and speed bumps! I'm spoiled! lol...Just get Air u will not regret it. :)

This may be a dumb question but will I need a front camber kit to help with that or is all of that part of the system?

Are these the front and rear kits your getting?

Performance Front Kit | Air Lift Company - Tow and Haul with Safety and Comfort
Performance Rear Kit | Air Lift Company - Tow and Haul with Safety and Comfort

Camber kits are not included with the air ride, those are bought completely separately. If you are not using a camber kit now and are happy with your ride height and alignment specs, I don't think you need to worry about buying one. That is all up to you and what look and alignment specs you are ok/going with. Front camber kits give you the option of changing your alignment specs given your ride height, without one the g has no way to adjust camber.

Lastly, yes that is the kit I bought

MrJCole13 Feb 17, 2014 06:07 PM

OK I think that answered my question. So If I want to adjust camber with this air set up I will have to get a camber kit for the front. Good to know.

Let me know how it all goes mj.
