brakes- rotors and pads oem parts

you guys know how this works because the delaer just confused the crap out of me but those guys working there are usually meatheads anyways....they are telling me the part number for my rotors are 40206 eg000 front and 43206 eg000 rear. now when i look this part up in ebay for example is shows part is for a nissan and not compatible for mine i have a 2010 sedan g37x. when i check online for exmaple this site 10 2010 Infiniti G37 Brake Rotor - Brake - Beck Arnley, Brembo, Centric, EBC, Genuine, Kiriu, Mountain, Pilenga, Pronto, Winhere, Front, Front Left, Front Right, Rear, Rear Left, Rear Right - PartsGeek
part is totally different but says the part is compatible.

can you guys clarify what is correct part number im trying buy oem not aftermarket. please assist guys

Just go to KNS Brakes you'll get better parts for less money and they sell alot of Infiniti parts here & at G35driver.com.
You might even send a PM to KNSbrakes on the site for a better deal.

To the OP, since you posted in the sedan section, it's safe to assume you don't own a coupe.

With that out of the way, if yours is a sport, but not awd, then you need the following:

Front 14.0" x 1.3"
Rear 13.8" x .8"

If yours is rwd, awd, or awd sport, then you need
Front 12.6" x 1.1"
Rear 12.1" x .6"

The rest are just options, standard, slotted, drilled, slotted and drilled, etc.

My recommendation, if it's a daily driver and you have no intention of tracking the car or doing other hpde activities, just go with the standard rotors. You don't need slotted/drilled/etc other than for appearance.

I'd also say that picking the proper pads is more important than rotors. Those directly affect initial bite, pedal feel, dust, braking power than rotors do.

For yuks, flip that question on end and ask which OEM parts are better than aftermarket.

I'm stumped.

Generally for street driving OEM parts are better. It has consistence quality and you know it will fit properly. I cannot say the same for after market parts.

I would say that may apply for quite a few parts, not sure regarding rotors & pads. Pretty good quality control w/ the common aftermarket brands.

I'm assuming you mean new parts from site vendors so here's the G37 vendor section, then just pick the sub-listing for which parts you're after
Supporting Vendors - MyG37
Here's the G35 vendor site
Vendor Classifieds - G35Driver

I'm stumped.
I'd take OE rotors and pads over Chinese made "aftermarket" parts
