Observations on the G's Brakes
After about 18 months of driving my 2008 G37S Ive noticed a few things about the brakes; both good and bad. At first I thought I might have a bad system; but after driving five or six loaners, from 2011 - 2013 there all pretty much the same. This is not currently, nor will it ever be a track car or weekend racer; but I do drive in the psycho drivers capital of the world (Bay Area California) so I'm kind of particular about my brakes

1. Not sure if it's just me but I love having a strong initial bite. Which is this reason why I hate ceramic brakes, they tend to have a soft bite until you smash on the brake pedal which sounds like that's what you like. At first you're not use to it but over time you can judge how much pressure to give the pedal.
2. Mines squeal as well in the cold. Seems to be a common problem with these cars but after my first stop it's gone. Doesn't bother me that much. I'm not so sure about 3 and 4 since I don't notice my stock fluid accumulating water. 5. I've noticed this from other auto's as well. I'm curious if the 370z auto have the rev match feature like the MT does. Only way around this is to get a 6MT and have full control of your rev match.. |
