Brake light on dash...

Hey Guys question...

I have a 12G37s coupe...I installed the Stillen Gen3 and a Tanabe Medallion exhaust. I reset my ECU and noticed from a dead stop and pushing it my Brake light comes on for a mire sec then off... it only does that when I punch it from a light....
Is it because I'm slipping and the tire is not grabbing traction?
I know its not my Brakes I only have 14k miles on it...yet wide tires on the rear 20x10.5 275/30/20's
fronts are 20x9.5 245/35/20.
I'm in CA norhing but wet here no snow but does this dry weather yet roads...
I do know that after I had both installed the power range is crazy... the Gen 3 is Awesome and the exhaust is way WAY Smoother since I put that in.

Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated.
thx!

Check your brake fluid level. Make sure it's at max cold (or max hot if your car is warmed up).

This. However trhe brake fluid reservoir has only one MAX mark. You're thinking of the piower steering reservior that has hot and cold MIN and MAX levels.

Because the car squats a little under hard acceleration and the level of the fluid sloshes back and the sensor reads it is being very low for just a second or so. It may also happen if you brake extremely hard and the car nose dives a bit. I bet topping it off will fix it.

Whoops, so apparently had them confused. Thought the PS only had the one.

If you're low on brake fluid, time to have your pads examined. Might be time for a brake job.

I would hope he doesn't need a brake job. He's got a 2012.

Thanks guys for all your suggestions though my pads have been replaced at 10k with Ceramics so no issue there...
Went by Pepboys and loaded up on Goodies and things I needed...

Filled up the Brake and Steering fluid and took a Drive and punched it a few times and light didnt come on.. but no dont need brakes...still under 15k and only less than 5k on the new pads. Bad habit coming from Audi and decided to put the Ceramics on my G... love it hardly if any Dust...but
That sensor is touchy...

My future plans are adding Crossdrilled by Stoptech but I'm content with what I have now..

Thanks again guys... it was just low fluid ...

Maybe they didn't top off the fluid completely when they did the pads. Can't imagine pads wearing all that much in 5K miles of driving.

Brake fluid levels don't change unless there's a leak or wear.

Brake fluid doesn't change on a drum brake system and your right on that. But on a disc brake system they change constantly as the pads wear. I don't worry about leaks as much as I do about wear for most modern brake systems today. Our system seems to be very sensitive to the level of the fluid on the brakes. The only reason I can see for this is that it's also integrated with the traction/VDC control circuit as well. I had a new set of pads when I went to the track one day and on the way home I suddenly got a VDC light. Then the BRAKE light came on. Some of this was strange since I also had the VDC turned off while driving the car. The next day I checked the brake fluid level and it was below the seam on the reservoir. Filled it up to the max level and ran the car. Both lights went out and haven't come back. Learn something new everyday with this car. It also looks like I'll be in for a new set of pads soon.

I have the same problem. Twice now under hard acceleration from a stop my light flashed. I don't know if it matters but I have a Takeda CAI and MagnaFlow exhaust.
