X sedan Swift Springs review
#61
I am so happy with these springs. I went with new KYB Excel-G struts all around to go with these. Also added exhaust and CAI. The toe is within spec, but camber is not. I read some bad reviews and took the risk and I can't believe anyone would have anything bad to say about these springs. If you run over a pothole, yes, you will feel it more, but amazingly for me I think the car feels more comfortable, so maybe my struts and springs were worn out (I only have 58K miles so I doubt that). I am keeping the stock wheels and tires. The change is very subtle. The handling feels slightly better and the ride is slightly tighter, not harsher. I used to have a Z4 and that is a ride I'd call harsh. It feels more responsive to irregularities in the road which I consider a good thing. I think a sway bar would be a great upgrade to reduce body roll. Sorry for the not great pics but hopefully you can see the very conservative drop, what I'd call the "how it should have come from the factory" drop. Also, I have already traveled on steep driveways and gotten too close to parking spaces with zero clearance issues, not even close.

I was able to pickup BC coils with swift springs on tax season sale. It's an amazing feeling, a little bit more rough then the OEM feel, but I'm loving them. Waiting a month to fully break them in and then play with my ride height adjustments. If I didn't live in NYC, I would've def slammed it by now.

I am no expert on alignments but that's a whole lot of red.
Also these are Springs for Dummies - it clears it but by an almost imperceptible amount. I'm amazed you can toss these on and get to the absolute perfect ride height to avoid ripping your bumper off:

DIY Cheapskate/Mod
Im very happy with my springs. Of course the ride is harsher, and Im on 20"s lol, so its even harsher than just the springs alone. Ground clearance got less of course, but what do you expect when you lower the car? I daily drive my G, put 50k km on it in under 2 years. Still very pleased with the springs. Tried my friends sedan on Eibach springs, the ride was worse, and the drop was uneven. As far as a cheap lowering mod goes, I dont think you can get much better than the Swift springs for the X sedan.

Apologies for bumping this older thread... but...
Am I reading this correctly? There are aftermarket shock options for the G37X now? KYB Excel-G?
I checked the KYB catalog and they don't have front shock options listed for the AWD variant. Perhaps the catalog isn't updated yet?
Also, looking at that alignment spec sheet - Is the first print out before swift springs? If so it doesn't look like the camber was increased very much post drop.
