Heated Seats aren't working

So about 8 months ago I swapped my whole tan interior to black. The seats I installed for the front and back are from a 2013 g37s, while mine is a 2008. Can that be the reason why? Or is there more than 3 cables that connect under the seat? Thanks for the help.

Did you also swap each seat control module and the heated seat switches? Or did you just swap the seats?

The 2008- which uses the rocker-type switches- is a different system compared to the 2010+ with the dial-type switches. They are not interchangeable. The seats physically fit, but some of the electronics are different.

Oh , I wasn't aware of that. Do you have any links or pictures that I can follow on what I'd have to swap. Thanks a lot:)

Take center console out where knobs are to access, but I'd check fuses first

First, I would recommend you download the whole factory service manual (FSM) for your car. It will have all the info you need to work on your 2008: 2008 Coupe FSM

For this project I would also recommend you download the 'SE' (Seat) section for the 2013 as this was your "donor" car that you took the seats from: 2013 Coupe FSM

This way you can pull both sets of wiring diagrams for the heated seat system and determine what you have vs. what you need. From what I can tell:

1. At the very least you will need the Seat Heater Switches (both) AND their wiring connectors/harnesses. The 2008"s WILL NOT WORK in the 2013.

2. Your donor seats (2013) may already have the Heated Seat Modules attached to the bottom of the seats. If this is the case then it is just a matter of swapping the switches and making sure the wiring is correct.

3. If you do NOT have the seat heater modules you will need them and any wiring harnesses that they use. You will also have to check to make sure the heated seat relay is wired the same as the 2008.

4. You might have to modify the switch panel on the center console to accommodate the seat heater dial switches. A simple dremel-type tool should work (I had to do this to get my 2008 switches to fit when I swapped to a 2014 center console).

Just for reference/2013 Coupe:

Hi everyone. Rather than open a new thread, I will add to this post.

I am missing the climate control seat relay that turns on my heated seats and the snow mode button. I am looking for relays and where I was told to look, the relay pins don't seem to match up. Where would I find a relay that will fix my heated seats?

Thank you.
