Trailer hitch receiver: 1.25 vs 2.0 inch
Hello all,
I want a trailer hitch receiver for a bike rack on my 2013 G37x.
2.0” sounds more versatile. Any reason not to go with that, over the 1.25 inch?
Thank you,
david

From my experience, nobody will install a 2 inch hitch receiver because that rating exceeds the car’s. I have not learned if that is strictly a liability thing, or truly best practice.
While I am wondering if I could DIY a 2” receiver, I decided to go with 1.25”, and have it installed by UHaul. $240 out the door. A bit spendy , but I don’t have access to tools & workspace atm.
for the bike rack, I am going with https://www.1up-usa.com/
