How do you get rid of the airbag light with an aftermarket driver's seat?
I have a 2013 G37S sedan and put in a Sparco seat for track days/general comfort. I was following the advice of another sedan owner who said you just needed a 2.2 ohm 1/2 watt resistor wired up to the yellow airbag sensor plug to eliminate the airbag light. This works for a little while, but I have to keep resetting the airbag light and each time I do it comes on earlier and earlier. It used to stay off for a week and a half and now it seems to come on every day.
One thing that was mentioned was pulling the original wiring harness off of the factory seat with all of the wiring and plugging it in. I am about to try that. Has anyone had any luck with this or know of a solution? Thanks! |
Check my response to your other thread.
Edit: I see you said you're using 2.2 ohm resistors - what you should be using is 4.7ohm 1/2 watt resistors. I have a bunch laying around still somewhere, if you want to PM me your address and I can mail some to you. |

Sorry to bump an old thread. I am going to be installing a Recaro seat in my 2017 Q60 and doing my research about how to keep the airbag light off. I see Recaro sells an Universal resistor wire but I don't have any specs on it. Are these what I would need for a G37? (I am assuming Infiniti hasn't changed anything with the Q60).
