Seat Belt Chime Disable?

Hi Everyone,

New to the forum. Did a bit of searching, but i wanted to find out whether or not I can disable the seat belt chime permanently on a 2009-2011 G37x Sedan. Not necessarily a go/no go but It would be nice to have this feature.

Thanks

Edit:

Not sure how to delete my post , seems as if Infiniti doesn't have seat belt chimes!!

2012 Infiniti G37 Coupe » Eric Peters Autos

That solved my problem

Correct, just the warning light and a short, quiet 6 second beep when the car is started that's hardly noticeable. No other seat belt chime.

I personally wish we DID have the seat belt chime warning. For those that are stubborn and stupid enough not to buckle up, there's usually a way to turn it off. But for most people, it 1) convinces those who don't buckle up to do so, 2) reminds people who sometimes forget, like old people, 3) makes part time belt users buckle up 100% of the time, etc...

To me, it would be a nice feature to have. Not sure why Nissan/Infiniti's don't have it. Almost all cars today have them, Nissan/Infiniti is the ONLY brand that doesn't. They're a bit behind the times on this. They did the same thing with automatic door locks... it wasn't until 2009 that Nissan finally put this feature on their lineup. For heaven's sake, my late '90s GM pickup truck had auto door locks, yet a $60k 2008 M45 still didn't!!! And the most ridiculous thing is that these features cost Nissan almost nothing... it's only programming, not new parts. Not sure why they're so slow to include such fundamental and basic safety features on their cars (?).
