Gnarly DRL's on G37's out in the middle east.

Saw these on the Infiniti Dubai website & Instagram

I'm personally not a fan as it looks like it's out of place.

What are your thoughts?

Not my style either. I do like the ironman mod some have done to their headlights though.

Fog light leds looks better . My $0.02

Such an afterthought. Adding a couple LED strip just so they can say "oh we have LED's just like Audi/MB/Lexus.....", all the while the front bumper was never designed to accommodate such thing. Utterly stupid and out of place imo. The LED does not accentuate the shape of the bumper (unlike the original Audi design), but actually take your attention away from the front design.

After seeing everyone jump on the "LED Strip" bandwagon it's really lost its' appeal and run it's course. I think it was a Sentra that I saw some on today, that along w/ Kias, Accords, Buicks, Chryslers, etc, etc. I still think they look pretty bad-as$ on Audis, they just seem to know how to integrate them better than the others.

I never liked the led crap on the front of cars. It's the most pointless thing I have ever seen, fogs and hid's are where it should stop. This is the worst integration of led's I have ever seen. Completely ruins the look of the front of the g.

Presto Dec 12, 2013 12:48 AM

it was the local dealers 'genius' idea here to put those fugly leds. apparently their customers wanted these leds, so just got something and stuck it on the bumper.
looks terrible IMO. The first mod I would do is remove them and fill the hole in the bumper.

It's a luxury feature right? lol! You are absolutely right about the LED strip losings it's appeal. Audi does it right, especially on the 2013+ B8 A4's. I also personally like how Lexus did it on their 3rd Gen IS but thats just me being a Lexus fan boy.

This integration of the LED's 'strip' is atrocious, why not Sideview mirror Signal LED's? :dunno:

Audi is always ahead on the LED. While everyone is jumping on the LED that Audi first started, they have already moved away from the dot style LED to the tube style. In a couple years, all the other car manufacturers will use tube led. Then Audi will introduce their OLED (organicLED).

good point taken.

just lookin at those lexus with those dot leds, really set back for many years past.. they are getting outdated.. the new IS has that check mark DRL looks pretty cool but too much "Nike" to me.

The audi Q5's tube led in contrast look very original and genuine.

not feeling anything on the E-class's led..

Hideous. Evil Iron-Man LED mod FTW!

The picture doesn't do them justice AT ALL . Just a result of an iPhone camera and poor photography skills.

I see the new chrysler 300 has them and they just over did it IMO. It has almost soiled the whole mod on any car, again IMO. Let BMW have their halos, and Audi have their LED strips. I do like the iron man headlights though. Not to shabby if done right.

That was my take on it at first. Now every auto manufacture under the sun is incorporating LED's into the design of their vehicles. There are more cars on the road with LED's than without. At least in CA. Well... maybe not more but it's getting close.

Yes, that about sums it up. Can't the automakers be original?:confused2:
