GTR Hood Vents

I am looking for a good place to buy a set of these from? I have searched around and only places I am finding are out in China or Japan. Does anyone know of places in the states that sell these?

GTR Hood Vents

Keep in mind GTR Hood Vents are inlets not outlets. GTR has outlets on the fenders that we don't meaning these inlets will only increase the air pressure build up in your engine without doing much cooling (since the inlet air will get trapped).

Interesting, I never thought about that. I was just thinking about it aesthetically. I wasn't really trying to cool off the motor at all, but with the added pressure, will that negatively impact anything?

I thought about this a while ago , would have had to cut the stock hood. I went with the AK CF hood :)

Does it bother you when daily driving (rain/washs etc..)

Done. Had to fab the hood a but they fit perfectly. OEM vents too.

How do you prevent rain, snow or other natural elements from getting into the engine if you fabricate the hood with the gtr vents?

Also would these vents have a negative impacts for our car as SAM passively alluded too that they are inlets and not outlets?

Looks awesome. Nice job! How much did you spend and how long did it take you? I've always preferred this subtle look on the hood rather than the other hoods that have a ton of vents (or whatever).

Anyone ever find out ? looking to get some vents 3d printed by a friend, then I’ll sand primer and paint them at home, or wrap in CF, then have a guy cut & install on stock hood.
only reason I’m getting them 3d printed is because it’s less than 100 to do that & I can’t find any vents in the US under 200

Out of curiosity, what do the actual Nissan pieces cost? IIRC, they are an insert into a cutout on the GTR hood so should be available separately.

My concern with 3D printed stuff on the outside of the car is environmental breakdown (ie, heat cycling, smog, (even mildly) acid rain, car washes, etc. even if over-wrapped with CF vinyl.

OEM they got i think upward of 300 and thats from the US
I mean your not wrong about 3d printed stuff and it going through cycles, the material i believe is high quailty & its durable, would bondo & sand it so it has a more hardend feel, then paint & gloss.
It'll take a few weeks to get the item made & ready to installation. Except now i ran into a issue, installer i wanted to do it moved back to SoCal, now i'm stuck have to find someone in the NorCal bay area to get this done for me

Since having had put that comment I saw on eBay from a seller called d2 sport has the gtr vents for 180 shipped from Oregon USA. And they don’t have the bolt holes.
