Fog light trim ring removal?
Anyone know how the fog light trim ring removes? I was thinking maybe there are clips from behind but before I pulled it in the garage, dropped the shield and all if that's where it was for sure?
I'm wanting to check the options about painting or plastidipping it. |

I'm wanting to check the options about painting or plastidipping it. No worries, you damn dirty ape. You just need to remove the fog light assembly. And while that's easy enough, it's also a minor PITA. Check out the FSM, it's a big help. Wait... I wrote this up not long ago. Somehow I knew this was coming based on your comment in your window trim thread. :p

think it's possible to get to the trim ring clips from behind without popping that whole assembly out?

I think so, yes. But you have to do it by feel unless you completely remove the wheel-well lining, which probably isn't going to happen.

Adding the LEDs adds a couple of brackets and makes it several times harder to get to. How to paint with them on the car...... hmmm

Has anyone figured out how to do this with a sport bumper with the OEM front lip/spoiler?
