Turning Seat Belt Alarm ON

About a year or so ago I turned the seat belt alarm off.

Now I want to turn it ON.

Any kind soul out there know how to do it?

Can't find anything in the manual or doing a search.

Thanks in advance,

Jim T

Have you tried calling Infiniti? They might be able to guide you through.

The manual and Infiniti says it will chime for 6 seconds and then shut off but the red dash indicator will stay on.

I remember getting instructions from some kind soul shortly after purchasing this car on how to turn it off. Of course 17 months later I've forgotten how to do it.

Sorry to be off topic, but why would you turn it off? I like annoying sounds forcing me to wear my seatbelt. As if possible death wasn't enough. :P

You did this without cutting any wires?

My car doesn't chime at all (neither for driver nor passenger) and I bought it brand new that way.

Same. I thought it was just a feature that it doesn't chime.

It does chime. As soon as you start the vehicle without your seatbelt on you will hear 6 beeps. They aren't loud and sound like its just part of the starting process but its not. Test it out. Start your car with your seatbelt off and listen for the beeps. Then start it with your seat belt on and you should hear no beeps. The good thing about it is it only chimes on initial start up. No annoying chimes while driving and even if it were, they aren't very loud so your music would most likely drown them out.

Ok I tried it in my car today and its 4 beeps, not six. I dont see why you guys dont have the chime. It worked the same way in my Maxima. i made a video of it. I'll post it when I get home from work, Youtube is blocked at my job. Btw, it doesn't chime for the passenger and only chimes for the driver at initial start up. Weird that you guys dont have the chime.
