to debadge or not to debadge?

I'm thinking about getting a G37 and debadging it.

Honestly the Infiniti logo and lettering seem to take over the trunk area.

Inifiniti is a good car and that's why I'm going to buy one.

But the purchase is based on a good body style, good design, good value.

No one really cares if you drive an "Infiniti" unless you live in a poor city or unless you are in high school.

Inifiniti is an acceptable brand name but it's not something you really advertise.

So why not debadge and let the design of the G37 speak for itself without all the branding clutter?

sounds like a good idea if you think the branding clutter takes away from beauty of the car. i personally like the infiniti brand and once took several rides in the first q45 when i was in high school. since then i always looked to owning the brand as a achievement in life and would not want to remove that badge. for the most part i could care a less what others think but at the same time i do. sort of like selecting a brand of cloths. i dont want to have a full wardrobe of cloths from walmart. if i did i would probably debadge those lol. id rather find something more fashionable.

This is another one of subjects that have been discussed here many times. Some like the cleaner look, but others, like me, feel it makes the car appear “erased”, as if you’re ashamed of the brand. And there’s also the school of thought that debadging lowers the car’s resale value because it’s mostly done by younger owners that drive their cars more aggressively.

At any rate, if you do decide to debadge, save them, as you may need them again someday.

1 Corinthians 13:11 - Tuners Bible

When I was a stock G37, I ran like a stock G37, I looked like a stock G37, I lagged like a stock G37...

When I became a tuned G37, I debadged my useless chrome...

It's in the bible... Repent Sinners... for the hour is at hand and the meek will most certainly be visible in the rear view mirror!

18 yrs olds debadge, be proud to be an infiniti owner, keep the infiniti Badge. keep it close to stock and clean, debadging is Ricer status, please don't embarrass one of my favorite Brands by making it Rice.

^^ lol debadging is rice? Wow well this is my first Infiniti or any Japanese car actually but personally I think taking just the Infiniti lettering off which I did is not rice at all. Even cleaning the whole trunk isn't IMO. I am big into trucks I own a 09 duramax and it is fully debadged and every other custom truck owner I know does the same. You can't tell me a lifted 4x4 crew cab chevy duramax is rice? On my girlfriends BMW I took off the 335i simply because I HATE polishing around badging especially separated lettering/numbering. Anyone who knows the difference between 3 series will know hers is a 335 simply because of the dual exhaust no need for numbers.

Mine is like the above, Fuji + 37s. I decided to remove the infiniti lettering after I got the OEM spoiler, as the back end looked too cluttered. I love the way it looks now, and don't regret it a second.

Removing the Infiniti is not rice, after all the Fuji emblem is still there signifying the brand. Badge rice is putting on emblems that your car is not, aka Type-R badges on American Hondas, placing a Z06 emblem on your C6 corvette, replacing your G25 emblems with G37s, etc.

debadge nothing, all but mt. fuji or debadge all. these are the only legit ways to do it. Any other way looks weird and you won't want to keep it. I'm a fan of just Mt Fuji or all clean
