Okay, that makes sense. On my car, it doesn't have "POI" next to the spoiler option.

we tint behind them all day no problem, if ur tinter cuts around it he's lazy, sucks and shouldnt get paid

i have the deck lid with rear brake light and my tint guy was able to tint my back window without removing the rear deck. came out really nice

My car had the spoiler added, and I have the 3rd brake light obviously. I just disconnected it when I installed my spoiler. I don't even notice it there.

Just picked up my 2010 G37S 6speed with tech pack two days ago brand new.

Because of this thread, i was freaked thinking the tinter would cut out around the 3rd brake light.

Turns out my car DOES NOT COME WITH THE 2ND THIRD BRAKE LIGHT!!

Whew!

I think it was a supply issue. If your coupe has a factory-installed spoiler, it should have come with a flat parcel shelf. When I got my coupe, they were all coming in with the third brake light on the parcel shelf whether or not the rear spoiler was factory installed.

Are you sure they didn't remove it? The housing comes up close to the glass and I don't know how they would be able to smooth out the tint behind the housing unless they have something slim enough to fit in that tiny space.

my tinter was located close to my infiniti dealership and they do most of the dealerships tints. im not sure if they removed teh deck or not but since they have done alot of G's already, i think they knew the rear deck can be removed in 5 minutes and thats what they did.

I also have two 3rd brake lights on my car since I have a dealer installed spoiler and they did not disconnect the brake light in the rear window. I want the brake light disconnected, and I might eventually replace the shelf with one without the brake light.

I took a peek through the holes where the trunk light is and I can see what looks like two cables, one headed to the left and the other to the right.




Can anyone lead me in the right direction for disconnecting the brake light in the rear window?
