No Door Dings?

What do you guys think about these. They are not the most attractive things in the world, but not as bad as say curb finders. The G is very prone to getting a big ding in the door and these would probably keep that from happening 95% of the time. I saw them on ebay for $170 and they come color matched to your car.

Fortunately I've never had a door ding/scratch etc.. on any of my cars so most of the time I don't even think about it. They look alright, I suppose depending upon the color of the car they might actually look really good. I think that DG Coupe looks good.

Where are you finding these on E-Bay? Who is painting the colors? I'd be careful you might not get a color match like you may think.

Here's the link. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/INFIN...em260203917113

You're right, it can be hard to match metalics and pearls. I would think that since the strip is so thin rounded that it would be less noticable if it were not exact.

I got something simular to this off of ebay for my Titan and they have saved me a bunch. All I have to do is bend down and look at the strip and see all of the marks on it to see that it helped.

Hmm well for $160 painted and shipped I guess it worth it even if the paints not perfectly matched. You might wanna message them about how they paint it, how many coats etc.. One ding could leave it peeling. Let us know how it works out if you get em'.

IMO they ruin the lines of the car, AND they won't be the first thing another cars door will contact 95% of the time. Different cars/trucks doors will hit above or below that strip.
I just pick parking spots very carefully or take another car depending on where I'm heading.

I just take up two spots when I can. Yes, I'm that guy.

I learned that lesson the hard way with my Accord.

I would only do that if I was going to be watching my car the whole time. Some people will key your car for doing just that.
I don't even take two spaces when I park far away and there are plenty of empty spaces; just for the aforementioned reason...

That might actually be easy to do, just throw some magnets on the back with some plastic so it wouldn't scratch... P.I.A. to put on/take off but it wouldn't have to stay on the whole time.

I agree but it would be worth it to not get your door scratched.

Don't do it! Just park away from crowds as much as possible. Or at least park next to other nice cars.
