NAV Upgrade/Conversion Parts for 2010+ G37 Q40 and Q60
 

This is quick guide on what parts are needed to upgrade a 2010-2015 G37, Q40, or Q60 to a 2010-2015 NAVIGATION System w/BOSE.

Only four NAV parts are required for the conversion:
(1) Touch Screen Display (2) Control Panel for Display (3) Faceplate / Climate Panel (4) NAV Unit / Radio Receiver

Cars with BOSE Audio Systems only require those parts.
Cars with Base Audio Systems require all those parts plus the addition of a suitable amplifier to power the car speakers.
Base Audio cars without a factory rear camera should also install a microphone for voice communication.

PARTS FOR THE CONVERSION

(1) Touch Screen Display
From a 2010-2015 G37, Q40, Q60, EX35, EX37, or QX50 with Nav.
Part No: 28091-1BY3A, 28091-1BY3B, 28091-1BY1E, 28091-1BY1F, or 28091-1BY3C.

(2) Control Panel for Display
From a 2008-2015 G37, Q40, Q60, or EX35 with Nav.
Part No: 28395-1UF1A, 28395-1UF2A, 28395-JK605, 28395-JK65B, or 28395-JK66B.

(3) Faceplate / Climate Panel
From a 2010-2015 G37, Q40, or Q60 with Nav. Part No: 25391-1UF3A.
or
From a 2008-2009 G37 with NAV. (These faceplates have a hard drive slot on them).
Part No: 25391-JK64B or 25391-JK65B

(4) NAV Unit / Radio Receiver
From a 2010-2015 G37, Q40, or Q60 with Nav.
Part No: 25915-1JA0B, 25915-1JA1E, 25915-1JA2B, 25915-3LZ1A, or 25915-3LZ1C
(Note – these nav units don't natively support RCA inputs; USB input only).
or
From a 2010 FX35, FX50, or EX35 with Nav.
Part No: 25915-ZX74A or 25915-JJ52C
(Note – these nav units support both RCA + USB inputs, however they may require dealer reprogramming to activate the rear camera, since those vehicles have around-view monitoring).

(5) 4+ Channel Amplifier - BASE Audio System cars Only The 2010+ NAV Unit/Radio does not have a built-in amp like the Base audio radio unit, so an external amp needs to be installed to power the car speakers.

(6) Microphone, for voice - Base Audio system cars with no factory rear camera
These cars don't have microphone, and so should install one. From a 2008-2015 G37, Q40, or Q60. Part No: 28336-JK60A, 28336-1VZ0A, or 28336-1VZ0B.

With the correct parts all you need is to either purchase a Harness Adapter Kit such as this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/333982567715

Or Get a Factory Harness From a 2010-15 NAV Vehicle, and then pin-out, cut, & splice the connectors to your existing harness, using the FSM wiring diagrams as a reference. In some cases, additional wiring (like for the microphone) would also need to be fabricated.

And that's all there is to it. :)
Everything can then be installed like it came from the factory. Get the parts you need, adapt the wiring and away you go! Updated Nav, Bluetooth, Display, etc.
