2012 G37x Sedan (NO NAV) - iPod USB/Port doesn't work with iPhones???
 

I assumed the iPod USB/Port would work with any Apple products for music streaming. Turns out I am wrong. iPhone 6 and iPhone SE audio streaming via Spotify doesn't work. The music is already downloaded to the phone using Spotify service but the G37 (no navigation package) keeps saying "iPod Device Not Connected". Both phones receive power thru USB Charging but are unable to stream audio to the car. Please help.

Does it show as iPod on the screen when you select this mode? Also sometimes it will show iPod, but still there is no support. I recommend to try with iTunes library. If that will not work, that means the port in your vehicle does not support iPod.

It works now but keeps playing the local file from my Music Folder instead of Spotify lol

Ok, that is the outdated technology limitation, unfortunately.

I recommend you to look into the aftermarket integration alternatives, such as GROM devices for example (https://gromaudio.com)
