Both key fobs don't work after changing batteries
I have a 2012 Infiniti G37s coupe. I have two keys for it that worked fine. One key started to act up about a year ago and take multiple tries to unlock the car. I figured the battery was low, which my multimeter confirmed, and replaced it. With the new battery, the buttons will not work on the fob to open the door, trunk, or start the car like normal. It WILL start the car if inserted into the slot on the dash. I figured the fob went bad so I switched to the other key.
Now I've had the same exact issue with the other key after changing the battery in it. I'm using CR2032 batteries, as required. Is there some procedure I can do to "re-pair" the batteries? It seems unlikely to me that both fobs just went bad slowly like this and then completely broke when the battery was replaced. What's going on here?

Thank for reminding me to follow up! I bought some other CR2032 batteries (energizer) and they work perfectly in both fobs. Why these batteries work great and the others did not, I have no idea. "Saywat?" had just the right idea! Thank you
