Controls don't work, A/C always on
My A/C will never turn off, my radio works but just not the controls or any buttons. Lights turn on at night like normal when you switch on your lights but no buttons work.I heard the A/C and radio are connected but I just want to know if there is a solution to this. I don't want to hear "oh this happens to me too". I want possible solutions. Thanks

Disconnect the battery for a few minutes. Carefully inspect battery positive and ground cables and battery posts for any corrosion Then Reconnect! Telcoman |
As a addition to what Telcoman recommends, while the battery is disconnected, it probably would not hurt to remove the HVAC switch panel and double check all of the wiring connections. There are two (2) not counting the clock and the SRS light. One connector goes to the NAV switch and the other to the main harness/AC amp.
It is obvious that someone has been in there before (the wrapping) and it is possible that a connector may not be seated properly. Hope some of this helps. |
Adding to what ILM-NC G37S said, consider rechecking the connectors in back of your display to make sure the right harnesses are attached to the right ports. There are a couple connectors in back of the main console and a few may have the same harness and may have been plugged into the wrong port. I say may because in my G37S without navi, there are 2 harnesses that are exactly the same. However, you have a navi system so it can possibly be different.
Anyways, when I went in there to do a bypass years ago, I accidentally swapped the connectors and had all sorts of weird console issues until I went back in there and realized what I had done. Plugged the right connectors into the right ports and everything was good again. |
