For the Connected Car "CarPlay-Like" Experience

This reminds of when bavsound made an aftermarket navi setup to work with all oem controls in the bmws. Their units were hands down better and oem and no hacking involved they had a truly plug and play. They did same thing with speaker upgrade to keep with stock ohm limits.

WOW! I have dreamed of one of these ever since I use to build custom PCs in Infiniti's.
I have so many questions.
1. Are all the units Andriod based or will there be an IOS flavor as in Carplay?
2. I saw mention of a 3G device being needed can we use our phones to tether for internet or will the 3G device be mandatory?
3. Does the unit fully integrate with the cars controls such a voice control, Bluetooth phone
calls, XM radio?
4. What ODB sensors will this work with and will the system be able to interface with the Infiniti's current screen and know info such as oil change and tire information?
5. In the video the aux button was used to switch to the entertainment screen will we loose another source when this is installed Like XM, CD, HD?
That's what I have for now I may come up with more as I stay up all night thinking about how awesome this system will be.
Thanks.

@enigmacarpc Thanks for your questions.
1. Yes pure Android 5.1 based
2. You can tether, but having dedicated modem helps to make connectivity more straightforward
3. Depending on your definition "fully integrate". It does not integrate with XM or Bluetooth phone, only with the stereo.
4. We have one OBDII that we sell, but should be able to use anything that's on market.
5. The only thing that is lost is AUX port, it will be come gateway into VLine
Feel free to have more questions.

Thanks for the fast reply.
Here are more questions.
1. How is the Apple Carplay coming along I see on your website it is in the review process so it's pending?
2. Will our voice trigger button on the steering wheel used for imputing addresses and phone dialing prompt Siri or Google while we are in the VLine interface so we can speak directions and text messages?
3. Will the steering wheel play controls have full functionality with VLine for advancing song tracks including when in apps like Spotify?
4. If I receive a phone call will it use the car or the Apple/Android to receive the call while in VLine?
5. Will I now plug my phone into the VLine unit instead of the cars USB?
6. Will future add-ons that you mention on your site be free upgrades or will there be fees, and will there be fees for system upgrades if you do major updates?
7. Will OK Google be included as it seems to be using an old Andriod build and along those lines will the systems OS be upgradable in the future as Google releases new Android OSs?

1. Yes still working on it. Takes little longer than expected
2. Depends on certain factors. In most cases we will be able to intercept this button
3. Yes some buttons will be working such as Next/Prev track, Select
4. We do not support HFP in VLine, you will be answering via your factory stereo
5. You can, but we do not disable factory USB port, so you still can use factory headunit for USB connections
6. All base functionality OTA's will be freely available
7. We do not provide that functionality. It is up to you to install and enable Google Hotword service

This looks incredible, but I do have one question. What happens to climate control? Do you have any videos of how that integrates? I live in the south, A/C is critical!
