Please check VLine live demo video to see how it is to drive with VLine:

(note that it is done on Lexus, and pardon the shakiness of the camera)

Yes, the regular pricing is $499.95, we usually run pre-orders on the new releases that are heavily discounted ($299.95)

Looks like NavTool does not have audio out, which really sucks. I.e. you can mirror and control your phone through the screen, but would need some kind of AUX in to get sound from it. Bummer

GROM Vline is different concept than phone mirroring. In fact it is not mirroring at all as you do not need the phone.

VLine is more like a computing unit that integrates with your factory car stereo screen. It has its own user interface that is optimized for the in-car use.

VLine is connected to the internet either via USB modem/hot spot with data plan or through phone tethering.

With VLine you get the access to the maps, both online and offline. Online maps include Google Maps, Waze, offline - Here Wego, Sygic and others. All can be downloaded and installed directly from Google Play store as VLine is based on Android OS.

With VLine you have the access to the streaming apps, such as Pandora, Spotify, Web Radio, Google Music. You can also play music downloaded onto the flash drive/external mass storage device.

All is integrated to your car stereo touchscreen. Here is more information available:
GROM Audio | VLine Connected Car Infotainment System | CarPlay Android Auto Experience

And yes you can also connect your phone via Bluetooth and play the music from the phone, with integrated car stereo controls and titles/cover art information displayed.

You don't even need your phone for VLine, VLine is stand alone unit that provides everything on its own. See my answer above.

You can still stream the music from iPhone using Bluetooth streaming, titles and album art will be displayed.

Thank you.

i have no hotspot for my phone (old grandfathered unlimited data plan) - will plugging it in via USB enable the VLine to connect to the internet?

if not, i may finally change my phone plan.

looking forward to it for the later model G's ... on track for next month still?
