Apple car play
Has anyone here changed out the multimedia display for an apple CarPlay device? Looking at the dash I can't imagine it would be a cheap/easy job. Please tell me I'm wrong.

That is a very timely question! We are looking for the beta-testers for VLine infotainment system that will allow you to keep your factory car stereo and display, and at the same time integrate all exciting new tech into your car stereo. See more info:

Will this work for a 2013 g37 w/ navigation?
At this time we are testing only on the following: G Coupe 2008-2009 G Sedan 2007-2009 G Convertible 2009 the other Nissan/Infiniti owners that we are looking for are: EX 2008-2009 FX 2009 M 2008-2010 QX56 2008-2010 Nissan: Armada 2008-2012 GT-R 2009-2010 Maxima 2009 Murano 2009-2010 Pathfinder 2008-2012 Z Coupe 2009 Note that the stereo should be equipped with navigation screen. The addition of a plug-n-play car play system is a game changer. I'm not sure if this is in the scope of the device, but it would be excellent for non-navigation G's. While the touchscreen is necessary for the VLine to operate, I'm wondering if it's as easy swapping out the original non-nav LCD for the NAV LCD. Furthermore, how would this affect people without an AUX and use XM/SAT Radio, would there be any loss in functionality of the XM Radio?
I'm interested to see if the VLine is capable of working in my Infiniti because the ability to use some common apps like Waze, Spotify, and other apps seamlessly into Infiniti's dated system makes the experience better. |
Do you have the photo of your non-navi stereo?

The XM functionality will not be affected. The only functionality that will be lost is the 30-pin iPod connector, if present.
Thank you. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.myg...d3128c80f2.png (Image taken from Google) It looks like this and there was a youtube video Where the guy swapped out the LCD for a touch one. Would be an interesting use because now you're targeting a larger market of Infiniti / Nissan owners. |
Ditto this! I'm local and willing to be a beta tester on my 2011 Non-nav, Bose, with backup camera. I'm looking for a solution with everything mentioned, plus integration of Android Auto and possibly mirroring of Android phone. Either way, subscribing to thread.

Thank you for your interest! |
interested for my 2013, but realistically i'm only going to have the car another 3-4 years.
if it can be developed and available for the later-year models within a year or so, i'd definitely get one ... if its going to take longer, i probably won't bother. |

Would be very interested in one for the non-nav (non-touchscreen) models.
