I wonder if the phone mirroring is the way to get Carplay for non-nav Gs. The VLINE is an Android device and requires mobile hotspot to function, while Carplay/Android Auto basically uses your phone.

CarPlay can be achieved with VLine VL2 or VLine Lite without mirroring, via USB. Please check here:

I have seen Vline demos but I still haven't seen vlite carplay demo yet. Can you give me links to demos for carplay?

How are you liking it in your 2010 FX35? I have the same car and was researching this system. Did you have factory Nav? Your video is down, so I was unable to view it. Is the UI smooth?

The UI is pretty cool, but it's hit & miss. It responds 70% of the times. If you're happy with those #'s, then it's for you. It's buggy! Apple Car Play at times it works, at times it doesn't, it just is really hit & miss.

The only consistency is when I turn on WiFi Hotspot on my iPhone and the VLine 2 connects to it and streams music using my HotSpot. That works just about everytime. Can't say the same about Bluetooth or about Apple Car Play.

The other cool thing, I'm able to watch Live TV with Hulu, watch Netflix and stuff like that. It works always, even when you're driving!

Thanks thanks for your honest answer! I was also looking at another system, but haven't seen any honest reviews in my same type vehicle.
