Just picked up a 2-CH dash cam
A Blackvue DR650GW-2Ch to be exact. http://amzn.to/293mk6x
Had a bad history of idiots hitting me (and claiming I reversed into them) and dinging my door in the parking lot.
So I decided to finally pick one up after getting my new Q60 last week.
Will install and post so videos maybe next week. Going to do a hard wire install by tapping into the fuse box.

I paid $327.
It included a Power Magic Pro which is a hardwiring kit that allows you to also record while parked. It will automatically shut off the cam if battery is low to prevent battery drainage.

Has anyone ever hardwired their G37? Do you know which fuse to tap? There is 2 fuse to tap. One fuse must have power, the other must only have power when the car is on.
Basically I need to know which fuse is:
(1) Always On
(2) Only has power when the car is on
Help!

For the second one tap into the power outlet fuse, I'm not sure about which to use for always on but a quick look at the fuse block should let you know. Do you have a multimeter or anything?

Attempted to do the install today. But gave up after discovering the side airbags getting in the way of routing the cable.
Anyone know how to get pass this? Routing the cable from the rearview mirror down to the fuse on the lower left.
I also found which fuse to tap.

I wonder if this would work for just the front camera?

I have mine tucked up into the headliner, then comes across the top of the side airbag cover, then down in the weatherstripping and then under the dash and up into the fuse box.

Not counting where the wire drops down by my rear view to go to the camera itself, there's maybe a half inch of visible wire and that's where it comes from the weatherstrip and under the dash.
