Bad instrument LED's

I have a bad LED in my tach. It does not light up between 5 & 7k. Every once and a while on a bumpy road it will come back on. Looks like a loose connection to me rather than a burn out.

I would like to swap out with a cluster from a wreck, does it need to be reprogrammed or are the clusters plug and pay?

Reprogramming isn't needed. But it would be a lot easier and cheaper to just change a $1 bulb.

You would need to program it to have the same mileage as your current reading. The problem you may experience is if you ever sell the car and the mileage reading may not coincide with your service receipts. Something to consider.

When mine went out (same problem as you) the dealer had to replace the entire cluster and reprogram it. Just beware, you need to remove the entire dash to get to the cluster.
