Bluetooth audio streaming mod

Happened to come across this mod to stream audio over bluetooth for those of us without the nav package, anybody try it?

I want to try it but I need some clarification with the audio cables, if anybody can provide some insight that'd be great.

I am confused, do all G37's not have the VGA hook-up in the center console? My 08 S has this. Was it not continued?

I believe it was discontinued after 2008. My 2012 non-nav only has usb.

why go through the hassle of this when you can spend $140 for the proper bluetooth adapter unit that take seconds to install?

I guess because you can do it for around 20$ with a bluetooth adapter from amazon, and maybe a little bit more of a hassle?
