I am looking to extend the Infiniti 30 pin cable so I can put my iPhone 5 on the seat. So I'm looking for either a 30 pin female to male lightening extension cable OR female lightening to male lightening extension cable. The Apple female 30 pin to lightening connector does not work and also isn't long enough. Anynody know where I can find one or do you know of a fix for this cable extension? Something that charges would also be ideal but my past reads on this forum doesn't look that simple....

What doesn't work? If it's just the charging ... you need a adapter (regardless of extending the cable) for charging to work.

Forget about charging. I just need an extension cable to extend the Infiniti cable that came with the car, so I can put the phone on the seat rather than in the cup holder. The car does not recognize the one from Apple when connected.

2. Lightning to 30-Pin Adapter - ( )
note: don't go 3rd party; they break easily and quickly. but if you insist, search amazon here.

This setup works flawlessly. It charges my phone while simultaneously allowing me to play my music and control it through the car. Conveniently the combined cables are long enough to reach the passenger seat.

Edit: Just realized you said the Apple adapter doesn't work. That's weird... in that case, ?
