Grounding Kit DIY'ed BB Style.

As BlackBetty no longer make those kit, and Stillen kit price went to 112 bucks, I made my own using some car auto 4 gauge wires and generic copper rings, plus techflex tube, with a light change from BB's design.

The audio volumn / bass has little change. The clarity improved dramatically, and for female vocal range, it's amazing.

I'm on a 7AT X and the shift improvement is sensed in 2 cases.

1. When I brake the car hard from 60 to a stop, there is an early downshift and boost the engine to 4k rpm and adjust back. Now the adjust back time is a fraction of that it used to be.

2. At my home, there is a 20-25 degree S shape ramp, with a 8-10 mph bumper in the middle. When it is slippery, the rear wheel felt slip and engage the front wheel power - I can feel the engagement delay. Now, this delay is barely sensible - happened a second snow fall in Seattle this winter - amazing.

Many thanks to BB.

How long has it been since you installed this? let us know if it still feels the same after a couple thousand miles, and what you're feeling now is not merely the effect of resetting the ecu by having the battery disconnected.

yup...im thinking the ECU reset and placebo effect are the two main reasons you feel the change.

I find it hard to believe that your drive train will react better from a few milli amps vs an ECU reset.

Every Monday morning my car feels like it runs 40x better than it did the week before.
We drive my wife's big SUV all weekend. When I get in my car its so much lighter and just seems to be blazing fast. Then around Wednesday im looking at new intakes.

Sounds like an ECU reset should be a regular thing then :)
