I have an 08 g37 with Nav and iPod integration but curious now years later how to play Spotify in my car. I know the newer ones have bluetooth and other options, what options do I have, just an RF Transmitter???

Anything direct wired or accessories to play Pandora or Spotify from an iPhone on the 08 g37?

open your glove box, you should have rca inputs. buy a mini to RCA audio cable and plug them in from your phone to your glovebox inputs. then click on aux on your radio. Start playing whatever you want and it should play through the cars speakers.

or hit the SAT button and go to channel 0 to get your radio ID.. Then call 1-866-528-7474 and subscribe. You wont need any other music option then

Doesnt the RCA inputs only work for Video when car is parked and ebrake on?

I have RCA, what options do I have for audio/ apps on iPod Touch when car is moving to play Spotify in Aux? Thanks,

nope.. you can listen to the audio portion when the car is in motion, just the video would cut.. this is what you needDynex 6' MinitoRCA Stereo Audio Cable DX-AD104 - Best Buy

you will be able to play audio from your phone or any other audio device with a head phone jack. I did it in my 08 before I had a 12.

Strange the RCA Cable has static on my Galaxy s3 when music is Paused but not my iPhone 5, any thoughts if that is a setting in the s3?

Have had my '08 G37s for 1 1/2 years- just read this, picked up a 3' mini to rca cable, and am now enjoying pandora on my android phone. Amazing things I learn on this site! Thanks guys!

You can get an RCA to 3.5mm adapter on monoprice.com for a lot less than Best Buy or other retail stores. Great quality too.

I used to have that cable but wanted to reduce clutter so went with a different solution instead. Bought one of these adapters:

For only $0.42 each when QTY 50+ purchased - 3.5mm Stereo Jack to 2 RCA Plug Splitter Adaptor - Gold Plated

Then I bought a retractable 3.5mm cable. Either solution works.

Or if you REALLY want to go completely wireless, get a bluetooth adapter like some have mentioned.

no unfortunately it does not. i have another bluetooth receiver i use for my logitech speaker dock that came with a USB power cord that i just swapped out and use on my belkin.


you might be able to find a power tip off this site.

yes you would plug the 3.5mm jack into the BT receiver and the RCA to the center console jacks.

edit: one thing to consider is that unit on monoprice has a power button, so i assume that you'll have to manually power on/off, (this is annoying because if you forget to turn off the unit, when you leave your car your phone will still be paired to the BT receiver) where as the belkin automatically turns on/off when the car starts/is turned off. but the belkin wont auto connect (at least my iphone 4/4s) and i had to manually pair the devices for each usage. just things to consider when your getting one of these.

i did use the britelink BT receiver as well in my car for a bit and it auto connected to my phone but i had to turn on/off. which was annoying to me.

ultimately i ended up just using a dock from proclip and using it that way. no more bluetooth for me.
