I'm hating the Bose right now. Seriously
My Bose is not loud enough. As crappy as the G35 Coupe speakers were, I would say they were louder than my 37 Coupe with or without soundstage turned on. It doesn't matter which source I use. Radio/ipod/musicbox/CD. I'm used to car speakers being amplified loud enough that turning the volume to 75% is adequate. Not in my car.
My wife bought a 2010 Maxima and God hers sounds so much better than mine. It's much louder. By the time I turn her volume to 60% it's already louder than my car with the same settings. Another problem I have is that my rear deck sub is rattling to a point where it's almost impossible to listen to a song with heavy bass. Any suggestions? |
the fact that you turn the volume to 75% in all your cars is probably the reason why you cant hear it...you've destroyed your hearing or something.
I think I've turned the volume up to barely 50% when the windows have been down and even then it's loud. most of the time it is at 25-30% and that is PLENTY loud so the best suggestion is a hearing aid or similar inner ear sound amplifying device |
lol. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my hearing. I will admit that I like my music loud. But even my wife notices that it's not really that loud.

I have been inside enough Nissan's and Infiniti's to know not all Bose systems are created equal. Your basically rolling the dice with their sound systems.

Theses Bose whining threads are almost as annoying as all the Hyundai Threads...

mine never goes above around 50%.

It's plenty loud, I just think the sound is "muddy"
|
Bose actually did a pretty good job with this system although I generally hate all their stuff.
If you want loud bass and shrill trebles, go get some adtermarket gear and go to town. This stereo was designed for sound staging and balance. More of a listener's system, not a bumping system. |
Sigh, the system in this car is fine IMO. If you want "LOUD", buy aftermarket speakers, do it right, and call it a day.
I'm not understanding what a lof of you complainers are wanting out of a stock car audio system. It's not going to achieve 150+ db nor have the clarity of an aftermarket system that costs thousands of dollars. You want better sound? Buy better speakers, subs, amps, wiring, sound deadening, and on and on and on. Geez |
Maybe you should consult the dealer. I had a 2010 Maxima with the premium stereo, and my 2011 G coupe (premium also) sounds every bit as good or better.

I will say that while it's more of a stereo "audiophile" system (and I use that term loosely) the XM sounds terrible!
|
Are you the guy that speeds through my apartment complex blasting douchey girl music? We hear you. You're Bose is working fine...
