Hmm, I will give that a shot! Thanks!
Ok, so I got the warning to go away and it looked like it wanted to play. The screen turned black and it shows a clock in the top right. The iPod is playing the video and I can hear it but it is not showing up. Wrong format maybe? |
Anybody know for sure what file formats are readable to our cars computers? I tried AVI and it wouldn't work. Message popped up about being "unreadable".

Guess nobody knows. .. . .

I have the one pictured above and I can listen to music and watch videos on the screen when the car is off and the emergency brake is off. Since it's aux I cannot control the songs from the steering wheel. My car is a 2008 G37 coupe no nav unit. the only videos I can see on my iphone are mp4 |
But what format are the videos that you are watching?
|
i have this enabled on my car also, if you do the thing that we are not supposed to talk about to it, you can watch it while you are driving also
|
Can someone who has this working on their cars please check the file format for the video on the iPod and post it up? I can't seem to find the right format. I have it working on the iPod but not the screen in the G. It's driving me nuts!
|
Someone who have an iphone can they please chime in if we can play vids please
|
My 2010 G37 doesnt have the output for this cable, but my moms 2010 fx 35 does.
Whats the deal? can i install it somehow? or is it just hidden... i see the openings but there is nothing to plug into. |
If your iphone/pod is jailbroken you can add video output (I had a 4s/4 and it would work) but in order to view videos with that cable you would have to do the video bypass hack which in some forums is a no no to discuss because of legal issues.
