Mine would sometimes load the iPod interface on my nav screen, show me the songs but when I click to play, it wouldn't play. I'd then have to restart my phone to get it to work. I thought it was just a BETA issue with dev 4.x but its doing it now even on 4.0.2 GM. Aggravating.

I'm having a similar problem playing songs from an iPhone 4 into my 09 G37xS.
It worked the first few times I connected it. It just started the Ipod interface and I could play any songs I had. Then, a few days later, I added some songs and tried to play again and when I hit play on any song on the screen, the play button would go unclickable for a few seconds and then nothing happens. I've tried unplugging several times and it still didn't work.

Adding to the lameness, my 3GS with 4.0.1 isn't working in the car's USB. I have to do bluetooth for now... It gives me the "this accessory isn't optimized" message anytime I plug it into the car. I even bought a new cable just to be sure.
And my buddy's Ipod Nano worked fine with the USB.
