Bluetooth Problem Thread

Do you guys think it would be helpful to add a thread where people can post the model of their cellphone, model of car, and if they had any problems pairing and connecting BT? More importantly, if you ran into problems, perhaps posting solutions if any were found. This would make for a nice databse for others to reference.

I will start:

2010 G37x w/ prem and nav

Samsung Moment (running 1.5 Android).

Problem: The phone pairs with the nav BT but unconnects within seconds. Occasionally it re-connects and then disconnects. I have tried powering down the phone, turning BT on and off again, making the device discoverable, etc.

Solution: None

Cant believe there is not already one of these threads.

Blackberry Storm

Says it is hooking up to car. Blue light flashes but is not connected. I have to unpair the phone and repair it and then it works....until I turn the car off then I have to do it all over again.

I had the Palm Pre (sprint) and it kept disconnecting. I went with the HTC hero and it works perfect. My HTC hero had 1.5 stock on it, but rooted it to a 2.0 ROM and still works fine.

i have a nokia e71 unlocked (not the e71x).

Works fine for calls. However, bluetooth audio is very very choppy. Currently not usable

Just tested an HTC Mogul and it paired and stayed connected 1st time. Looks like the samsung moment is not compatible with the infiniti system. I read somewhere that it might have to do with the version of bluetooth or bluetooth stack (whatever that means).

The Palm Pre has Bluetooth® wireless technology 2.1 + EDR with A2DP stereo

The HTC Hero has Bluetooth® 2.0 with Enhanced Data Rate and A2DP for wireless stereo headset

I believe the samsung moment seems like it has Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR

Great idea.

This is the link to the infiniti site for the official tested phone makes/models and the features that should work. Just put in your vehicle info

Infiniti Bluetooth | Phone Features | Infiniti USA

Phone: Samsung instinct S30.

Problem: call id does not display on the car's system, all calls say "Private Caller"

Solution: None. Talking to the dealership today about it. Have tried adding the calling numbers to the car's phonebook and re-pairing.

This. I found that you have to delete your phone and re-pair it again...

2010 G37 Sedan Nav/Prem/Journey

iPhone 3G ver 3.13

BIG...
----
A2DP music steaming hesitates every 4 seconds
Call waiting does not work (goes straight to VM)

Medium...
---------
If a song is playing and a call comes, there is a 1 second hesitation (phone rings + 1 second of audio playing again + phone ringing)
Voicetags dont work well

Wow, I didn't even know there were many people having problems. With the iPhone 3G I haven't had any bluetooth issues at all yet (fingers crossed). But the 2009 doesn't do audio streaming via bluetooth, just phone. And also it's not possible to import the phonebook.

So I guess you could say it's perfect at not doing those things!

yeah, the actual making phone calls part (which I guess is the most important) actually works fine. It's just the other stuff that would make it super useful that sucks
