Downloading phonebook on bluetooth

Hello everyone,
Having a problem downloading my phonelist from my cell to the bluetooth. The phone works well and was easily paired, but when the prompt asks me if I want to download my phonelist,I hit yes,and it quickly disconnects my phone?
It should prompt a password (123..)but it always disconnects.

Of course the dealer suggested I load them manually, but thats a lot of time.

Any suggestings from the faithful?

Thanks in advance for the help.

What kind of phone are you using? Some have limited capabilities with the Bluetooth system. Not all will transfer the phonebook to the car

i recently had a problem with my blue tooth and my car. it would recognize the phone, start a call, then nothing. i had to delete the pairing, reboot the phone by removing the battery, the do the pairing again. it worked after that. might be something to try. it had something to do with a blackberry update.

Bluetooth download of the phone book only works with a few phones. It didn't work with any of my new phones.
