Has anyone had this done? What is a fair price?

Is this a better/cheaper alternative than aftermarket (Clifford, etc)?

My dealer said they would only warranty for a year, while most aftermarket guys would be lifetime. FYI, did not get it done because of that and really don't know any good installers by me so probably won't. Oh yeah and they said even if they installed it and a year or two something went wrong with the remote start and screwed something else up, it would not be cover under factory warranty because it would be considered aftermarket.
